Each Monday, I’m going to try to give you an update on what’s going on in my life. For those of you who read the blog just for deals, then you can skip this post…but for those of you who I’ve come to know and love whether on FB, Pinterest or Twitter, this is for you :)
Watching: Naked & Afraid on the Discovery Channel. I came into this series late, but at the recommendation of my new dentist, I watched last night. OMG. Have you seen it? The premise is they drop off 2 strangers (1 man and 1 woman) into the wilderness NAKED and they must survive for 21 days. It is intense. I mean the show gave me anxiety just watching it. It makes the show Survivor look like a 5 star resort!
Reading: I’ve been reading a lot about hormones, diet and melasma lately. I bought this book, The Hormone Cure and was fascinated by how hormones control our bodies, our health and our overall well being. I feel like every woman should read this book.
Bugging Me: Divorce crap. My friend sent me a great article this week on how to deal with drama, and I think it’s definitely worth a read, especially if you are excitable when it comes to confrontation or have a strong need to defend yourself in situations (which is me to a tee!)
Trying: To exercise. Ugh. I hate exercise and I absolutely hate to sweat. BUT, I did purchase a workout on iTunes ($8.99 for 5 episodes) and am finding it manageable. The Yoga mixed with cardio is not too intense and I’m not sweating too much either! I’ve been waking up early to get the workout in before the kids get up and so far so good. I’m about 5lbs away from my pre-baby weight and I’d like to be back there before summer ends! It is bikini season after all ;)
Anticipating: We just booked a week long vacation at a camp on a lake, and I’m super excited to get away in August and enjoy my family, the lake and create some lasting memories :)
Grateful For: I’m grateful for Peter. I guess I could say this every week. But there is not a day that goes by that I think to myself, “I don’t deserve this man”. He is beyond amazing and I’m so grateful that he came into my life and accepted me as a newly single divorced mom and loves my kids an makes me want to be a better person.
