Good Morning & welcome to our weekly series of “Couponing Abbreviations 101” :) Each week we’ll tackle a frequently used abbreviation and let you know what it stands for, so that way you aren’t in the dark when reading this website.
RP stands for RedPlum Insert. The RedPlum insert is one of the coupon inserts you frequently see in your Sunday paper. There are several varieties of coupon inserts including, SmartSource (SS), Proctor & Gamble (P&G) & General Mills (GM).
Most commonly you’ll see these abbreviations within deal scenarios that I put together for example:
Here’s a deal scenario to get FREE Jimmy Dean Delights at Walmart using a coupon from the 1/6/13 RedPlum
Buy (1) Jimmy Dean Delights, $2
Use (1) $2/1 Jimmy Dean Delights Product, exp. 2/17/13 (RP 01/06/13) *regional
Final Price = FREE after coupon!
